Composer: Timothy Shepard

Timothy Shepard was born in Somerville, NJ. He graduated from Westminster Choir College in Princeton NJ, and many years later from Emory University in Atlanta. He has served churches in South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina through decades of music ministry. He has been the Director of Music / Organist at BREVARD FUMC since 2008. He has composed music for handbells, choirs, and keyboards. He has played the organ in worship services, conferences, concerts, and with orchestras. He has conducted community choirs and founded the Blue Ridge Sacred Chorale, which presented its 10th concert. He likes to write down words and organize sentences that make people think. In 2004, he founded AzaleaCircle.com, an online self-publisher. In 2024 he is working to transform that website into a company for composers, Pisgah SMD, Inc., SacredMusicDownloads.com.
